Paul Smith Earthmoving was established in Timaru over 35 years ago.

In 2002, Tony Moir and Bruce Tinnelly purchased the company to form Paul Smith Earthmoving 2002 Ltd. Through their extensive large-scale Australasian earthmoving and construction experience, the business experiences consistent annual growth.

With over 35 years of experience in the civil construction industry, including 20 years running successful businesses, Tony holds directorships across the Paul Smith Earthmoving Group. In addition, Tony focuses on the procurement and management of domestic, building and commercial works. From small-scale residential projects to extensive subdivisions, Tony manages in-house and engineer designed jobs, as well as charge-up, quotes and scheduled works.

Bruce Tinnelly
Company Director
With over 30 years of experience in large-scale civil construction in New Zealand and Australia, including many years as construction operations manager for SICON Ltd, Bruce holds directorships across the Paul Smith Earthmoving Group. In addition, Bruce is responsible for the procurement and operations of larger civil and farm contracts, predominantly tendered and scheduled in nature.
