Beach Grove Subdivison Stages 2-7 Kaiapoi

Works Description
A civil construction project for the Beach Grove Residential Development in Kaiapoi. The project is part of an overall masterplan to deliver 150 affordable homes close to schools and the Kaiapoi town centre. Works include site preparation, relocation of the haul road and construction of sealed residential roads.

PSE continue to be awarded additional stages of the Beach Grove residential development project in Kaiapoi. The projects are part of the overall master plan to deliver over 500 affordable homes close to schools and the Kaiapoi township.

PSE has been awarded both the earthworks and civil projects since winning the stage 2 tender. Due to the close proximately of the worksite and the local school, PSE have developed and continue to maintain the traffic management requirements to the development.

Key Challenges

• Working on delicate subgrade using tip head techniques to install the gravel.
• High water table incidents, whilst installing drainage and services.
• Truck routes through school zones and high traffic areas meant planning with the school and creating specialised TMP requirements to suit school times.
